No matter how long the winter has been for you, you can count on the grass growing again each spring. And while photosynthesis always means there will be a place for weed eaters, chainsaws and hedge trimmers for yard work, the average urban and suburban Canadian no longer finds older, gas-guzzling mowers effective.
Older mowers are noisy, have a lot more vibration and provide a lot more fumes and smoke This is why manufacturers have been constantly updating their mower versions for decades.

Always be safe and smart with your tool thing you can do when operating your mower. Safety glasses, proper footwear and gloves are always recommended. Make sure your safety gear fit comfortably, and allow for safe visibility and operation. Don't forget about your ears! A lot of people try to chop away at the lawn right from the start.  This is actually a foolish practice for a few reasons.
We at Alpine recommend letting the grass grow tall in early spring.
Much like any other rooted plant, taller full pants breed stronger, sustainable roots.  Grass consists of 90% water.  Allowing grass roots to establish themselves allows the soil to become much more susceptable to growth, water and...
